Some reviews point out that decor could use a refresh, with a few guests remarking on an old smell that detracts from the overall experience. Long wait times for food during busy hours can frustrate diners, especially on peak nights like Friday at 7 PM. A handful of comments mention that certain dishes, such as the Portuguese bean soup, failed to impress with their taste and presentation. Additionally, the hamburger steaks have garnered mixed reviews about their texture and doneness, revealing an inconsistency in dish preparation. These concerns serve as feedback for improvement, ensuring that the kitchen can refine its offerings to elevate the dining experience.

My family hosted a large lunch here after my grandfather's burial and Nancy's Kitchen handled our group incredibly well! We had almost 50 people and with one waitress serving us, she did such a great job! We really appreciated the patience she showed us and how she was working so hard to get us drinks, food, and anything else we wanted all in a timely manner! Thank you for helping us on a hard day and serving us well!

My mom, sister and I went because had a function at the Calvary Chapel within walking distance, plus they opened promptly at 8am. We had breakfast and I mentioned to my sister my crispy bacon was perfect, and with it I had a waffle. My sister enjoyed her adobo omelet and mom ate all of her half papaya and sweet bread French toast with hot tea. So my current recommendation is to try them out.

First time there & last. There's an old smell upon entering. The food took longer than expected. We both had the hamburger steak & the corn on our plates looked awful. The Portuguese bean soup was the worst I've ever tasted & it was visually unappealing. Our hamburger was very hard & dry & my ff could have been cooked longer. Nobody likes white limp ff. I will say the server was very attentive & he had his "customer service" hat on. This place could use an update in decor & food.

The food the service and the prices are all great. If you are looking to stay away from the high prices of the touristy places, this is a great place.

Like old-time Hawaii. Really good service and atmosphere. Just to hang out, talk story, and good food/lunch.
